In a team effort, the Microsoft Retail Store Studio and the Brand Experiences team worked together to develop modern and creative customer interactions to engage visitors, maximizing exposure to new products and technologies in a hands-on experience. We needed a product that could mimic the connectivity between smart devices and your everyday phone to introduce potential customers to the "Smart Home" market.
I collaborated with designer Adan Ronzon to match the timing and structure of the sequences to the work he had done for the device app. The tone and overall look of the app is playful, yet inclusive. We used a combination of expressive, informative and functional motion to bring this beautiful design to life. Incorporating the 3D elements using Cinema 4D with Toon shading to match the mood of the product.

At the Microsoft retail physical stores, the brand experiences team developed an interactive experience to showcase connectivity between devices, and how they all could be controlled by a mobile device.
The kiosk location was the result of analyzing collected data from foot traffic. The installation consisted of a display meant to simulate conditions in which the user might take advantage of the functionality of smart devices. Around the screen, there were smart cameras, lights, speakers and a thermostat all hooked up to respond to the mobile device with the Connected Life app installed and placed for visitors to interact with.
The task at hand was to bring to life the great illustrative work of artist Danny Schlitz. We wanted to pursue a 3D feel to the 2D illustration style, so we came up with the concept of a rotating platform that would switch between a "home" and "office" environments.
